GitHub Sync

Work directly with your remote repositories. Edit, commit, and push markdown changes right from Chore.md.

How it Works

Using a Personal Access Token (PAT) with repository permissions, Chore.md leverages GitHub's REST API to fetch directory trees and raw file content. This tree index is cached locally in your browser so you can browse, edit, and create files quickly.

Setup Instructions

1. Generate a GitHub Personal Access Token (classic or fine-grained) with repo access.
2. In Chore.md, click Connect GitHub, enter your token, and select your repository & branch.
3. Commit your changes locally and hit Push to sync changes directly to origin.
